"Kõigepealt," raius ta kohmakalt, "peaksite püüdma aru saada, et kajakas ei kujuta endast midagi muud kui vabaduse piiramatut ideed, nii-öelda SUURE KAJAKA koopiat, ja kogu teie keha tiivatipust tiivatipuni pole midagi muud kui teie mõte."
-Jonathan Livingston Merikajakas
With thought comes one's sense of identity, sense of existence - you begin to feel what you are in your thoughts. It might be freedom itself, or a soul, a well-respected businessman or even (as little children play) a tiger or a cat. Once you become aware of your sense of self, you become that what you think of yourself - your entire body is nothing more but your thought. And yet, whatever you think, it is but an illusion, a mirage. It is your imagination, but that doesn't make it any less real, the effect is evident mentally, emotionally, in the entire persona. It radiates into the external world.
The same goes for clothing. Clothes have an extraordinary effect on what we perceive of ourselves. In the right outfit, one can become a playful intellectual or a proud nationalist, it can make us confident or extremely self-consciously shy. Buying new clothes can create a hatching of a butterfly, free from the shackles of a caterpillar. It might seem like a primitive tool for self-realisation, yet all the theological and philosophical agendas are also different robes. like clothes, they never exactly collide with each other, but flow according to taste and combination.
